You can also support me by purchasing Tastes of Tamriel merch! I’m doing my best to keep up, but as a spoonie and a neurotic perfectionist, I don’t ever want to cut corners on my followers or the content of this blog. While I do my best to reply to messages, worldbuilding posts take much longer for me to write and if I haven’t answered your prompt yet, please be patient! At the moment I am working and applying for a PhD, and don’t have much free time for social media or new recipes. Please bear in mind that aside from recipes and a love for delicious food, this is a place for sharing and learning- not everybody learns in a rigorous academic environment, and my wish is to encourage people to think about the world around us in an accessible manner- after all, if you’re following this blog, you probably love Tamriel just as much as I do. If you have any concerns about the material cultural content shared here, please message me directly.

If I have ever posted anything that has come off as ethnocentric or narrow-minded, I am very open to criticism as it helps shape my thinking as a sensitive researcher. I keep all original tags on reblogged posts for your reference and to avoid any potential erasure.

While I do my best to be culturally sensitive and phrase my writing thoughtfully, some have voiced concerns in the past that I am culturally appropriating or further marginalising indigenous or other minority groups. As a bisexual WoC, let me make this clear: racism, ethnocentrism, transphobia, homophobia, and ableism of any sort is not tolerated here and will never be perpetuated. Tastes of Tamriel is strictly against any form of hate speech.

As a social anthropologist and passionate advocate for public anthropology, I believe that Tastes of Tamriel is a positive place for learning, discussion, and sharing information about the real world just as much as The Elder Scrolls. This blog also aims to share the diverse histories, geographies, and cultures from our own beautiful world, presenting them in the familiar context of Tamriel. Each one tried, tested, and approved by me, you’ll find everything you’re looking for in my Masterposts 1 and 2! My Dragonborn, Talviel, will be your host for the most part, bringing you not only recipes, but also worldbuilding, lore, and everything Tamriel! Here you’ll find an assortment of original recipes based on The Elder Scrolls, taking you on a culinary journey across Tamriel and the world. To followers new and old, welcome to Tastes of Tamriel!
